· Prepare business plan for pre-IPO funding

Our client wanted to raise additional capital: our role was to prepare a business plan, backed up with detailed financial projections, to enable potential investors to appreciate the opportunity.

 

· Extract client from shareholder dispute

Two key shareholders in our client had fallen out. We developed the basis upon which one party could buy out the other shareholders.

 

· Negotiate sub-contract manufacturing

Our client wanted to contract out manufacturing in the UK, calling for a planned approach to reaching agreement with the manufacturer. 

 

· Instigate joint venture for the launch of a new beer brand

We instigated a joint venture between a national brewer and a product-branding specialist to develop and launch a new beer brand.

 

· Prepare business plans and financial projections for satellite service provider

Our task was to capture a vision into a detailed business plan – then prepare the financial projections, thus justifying the allocation of capital.

 

· Instigate and co-launch new property development company

We instigated a new revenue source for a property consultancy, specialising in unlocking value through change in permitted use, by finding a partner who provided capital for a joint-venture property fund.

 

· Conduct due diligence and financial planning on potential acquisitions

Our work in this area has been at various levels – including identifying targets, investigation into the operational and financial affairs of targets, testing sales forecasts and preparing placing documentation for public companies.

 

· Identify appropriate business partner for growth by merger

We helped a small professional firm, unable to prosper by itself, to identify potential acquirors and to develop a formula for projecting itself in the most favourable light.

 

· Project manage the launch of a new India Unit Trust

A fund management group had insufficient internal resources to implement the planned launch of a new fund: we provided project management to co-ordinate internal resources and external advisors to rapidly execute the said launch.

 

· Develop the modelling for complex investment trust

The difficulties faced by split capital investment trusts are well known. Developing financial models, which are a tool for portfolio planning and managing the fund, is a task we undertook in conjunction with a partner firm.

 

· Undertake market research and product launch for new European telco software company

We helped a US software house by getting them in front of senior technical staff at a number of European mobile operators so as to demonstrate and promote a new product.

 

· Secure new business channel for sale of software into government sites

We instigated a new sales channel – into government installations – for a software house previously focussed on other markets.

 

· Undertake client’s joint venture negotiations with Eastern European partners

A US company used us as “cultural glue” in negotiation with Russian joint venture partners, bringing together different customs as to the legal and financial framework for doing business.
